The City's waste collection contractor picks up seasonal yard waste and leaves only when placed for collection between the sidewalk and curb and as follows:

• General yard waste (including leafs) is picked up on each resident's regular trash collection day beginning the first week in April through November each year.

• Yard waste must be placed in solid containers marked "yard waste" or kraft paper bags for collection by the City's contractor.  Yard waste placed plastic bags will not be picked up.

• In the Fall, leafs raked from residential properties must also be placed in solid containers clearly marked "yard waste" or kraft paper bags for collection by the City's contractor.  Leafs placed in plastic bags will not be picked up.

NOTE:  It is a violation of the City Code to rake, sweep, or in any way deposit leafs or yard waste of any kind into or on any public street.
